Temperature Calibration
Scope of Accreditation

Process Instruments maintains primary temperature standards for the calibration of Standard Platinum Resistance Thermometers. SPRT's are measured against a Thomas type Ten Ohm Standard Resistor, using a Measurements International Bridge.

Process Instruments’ reference platinum thermocouples are characterized by NIST. A proprietary, automated data acquisition system performs all voltage measurements.

A Hart Dual Well Calibration Bath allows certification of thermometers from –100°C to +300°C.

A Triple Point of Water cell - note the ice mantle visible around the thermometer well.
